A Week in Photos

Lucky for me Firebrand bakery is right next to my office. I am OBSESSED. It is so delicious.

This was a ginger cookie with REAL chunks of ginger! I also purchased a golden raisin and fennel baguette which we paired with Pumpkin goat cheese… and let me tell you it was a real dream.img_0814

Dinner party thrown by my amazingly talented friend. The cheese board started it all!

Finally tried Brown Sugar Kitchen last weekend. Everyone that worked there was super friendly but I have to say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the food! Maybe it was too hyped up – I still think you should try it, but have realistic expectations.

Went to a Pumpkin Patch, it is definitely easier to get Pumpkins at the grocery store but much more fun to go to the patch!

I have been working out at my company’s baby gym and loving it. It is nice not fighting for equipment!

Loved this Stone Collab.  It is from last year…so if you haven’t tried it yet I highly reccomend you do! img_0867

Work hard, play hard

There are a lot of old adages, like work hard, play hard or if you love what you do you won’t work a day..etc. I have always worked hard and I have always taken extreme satisfaction from the feeling I get when I accomplish a task that I have worked hard to achieve and often times before one challenge is accomplished I am thinking about what I can do next.

I think work is important and whatever your work is do it with all you have and I think while you work you will accomplish great things and learn a lot along the way.

This Maya Angelou quote resounded with me when I read it and I hope it makes you think and take a look into what you are doing and moving towards.

Will Work for Travel! and a few other things.

I saw this the other day online and immediately thought Yes!…

However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I work for a lot more reasons then just to travel.

I work…

to better myself

to learn more

to help people

to meet people

to eat good food

to drink good brews

to taste fine wines

to live where I want

to visit my family

take care of my loved ones

and yes to travel!

What reasons do you work for?

I have heard the saying that if you love your job you will never work a day in your life but what about if you love your life you will enjoy life?!

Whatever you enjoy, get out and do it everyday!
