A Review : Wooly’s in Pismo Beach

On a weekday evening my family and I headed to Wooly’s for dinner. In the summer I imagine this place will get packed but for now the crowds aren’t too crazy.

You can sit wherever you would like and on the patio a waitress will come and get your drink order but you will have to go inside to the counter to order food.

I order the DBA from Firestone. Yum!

The clam chowder in a bread bowl was really good and extremely filling.

My Mom ordered the Seafood Roll, pictured below.

And Penny ordered the Asian shrimp tacos and loved them!

I ended up eating the salad the next day for lunch and really enjoyed the vinegrette.

The best part of dinner was the company!
I will definitely be back to Wooly’s to try some of their different items and soak up that view!

Felt like a kid again.

Sometimes when you travel back home you feel like a kid again but not necessarily in a good way… this past weekend took me back and it was nice.

I went to town with my Dad in his pickup truck listening to all the old country music I grew up with and we would turn to each other and smile as our favorite song came on and it didn’t make me feel like I was 23 with responsibilities but rather I was that 8 year old again who looked up to my Dad more than anyone and would always hold his hand as we sang along to his favorite tapes. I enjoyed it and in that moment I felt so happy and so carefree and thought to myself, these are the moments I will remember and cherish.

On Sunday, my Grandma and I were crocheting and watching the CBS Morning Show. We just happened to look at each other at the same time and smile, then laugh and say how we wish we had more time like this because we don’t. I leave to go back to SF next Sunday and it will go by all too fast and next time I come visit things may be different – she may not be able to crochet anymore… I don’t know, but I do know how much it means to me that I have this time with her, to spend with one another.

I hold so much gratitude for the family I was gifted – not perfect – by any means but they are mine and they love me and I them. I am SO beyond, beyond blessed and I have such a full heart.
