My top favs in Indonesia

I am finally getting ready to share my Indonesia and Malaysia trip here and going through the photos and my journal from the trip are really stoking my need for adventure and travel.

Here are a few top memories from the trip…

All packed up and ready to go! One carry on for three weeks. The truth of the matter is I probably had too much.indoorbust-3weeksina-carryon

Our first meal in Indonesia, and quite possibly the best meal of the entire trip. This simple and cheap meal still lingers in my dreams.

A few of my fav moments … get ready for the breakdown in the next couple weeks.

A rainy day in NYC

Usually when I am traveling I dislike the rain. The rain means that whatever activity I had planned will be affected. The rain can really put a ‘damper’ on things, you feel me? However, I am really coming to appreciate going indoors for entertainment.

On this rainy day in New York City we decided to check out the Met. Lucky for us it wasn’t too crowded and we went right in!

I have been told that the Met is America’s premier art museum and it did not disappoint!

Street Art of San Juan

Street Art in San Juan Puerto Rico is a feast for the eyes. If you have a rental car I  highly recommend heading to a few different neighborhoods where street art is most prevalent. It is constantly changing and always eye catching. We were able to view a couple individuals working on their pieces and it was truly mesmerizing I could not believe that they were able to create such detail on such a large scale.  IMG_6089IMG_6090IMG_6092IMG_6093IMG_6095IMG_6097IMG_6098IMG_6099IMG_6102IMG_6104IMG_6106IMG_6107

East Coast Fall Delights

A night at the MFA in Boston. Probably the most amazing museum I have been to. They had one of my favorites Georgia O’Keefe in their contemporary wing.IMG_3880 IMG_3882 The Post 390 is delicious for dinner and drinks but be prepared to spend some cash money. IMG_3884 IMG_3887 For dessert we split the banana cream pie and this amazing popcorn waffle sundae that was out of this world. IMG_3889 IMG_3891 In the Spring/Summer months in Cambridge be sure to head to Formagios for an unforgettable BBQ. IMG_3893 IMG_3894 IMG_3895 IMG_3897 IMG_3898 IMG_3900 I ordered the Mac n’ Cheese and the Brisket! It was one of the best BBQs I have ever had and I can not wait to go back. IMG_3901 Following our BBQ, we drove out to Western Mass for some Fall fun and apple picking. IMG_3904 IMG_3906 IMG_3907 IMG_3908 IMG_3910 IMG_3913 IMG_3914 IMG_3915 IMG_3916 IMG_3921 IMG_3922 IMG_3923 IMG_3924 IMG_3925 Some of the most amazing apples I have ever had in my life.  There is nothing quite like biting into an apple you just picked! It was very satisfying. IMG_3926 IMG_3929 IMG_3931 IMG_3933 Last couple stops before heading to the airport included, Beacon Hill Monument and Mystic Brewing!IMG_3935 The 394 steps to the top of the monument are seriously no joke! My friends and I are all relatively active and we were sore for days. However, the views were worth the sore gams so don’t let the steps scare you. IMG_3938 IMG_3939 IMG_3941 IMG_3944 Mystic Brewery is a great spot. It is a place where you feel at home and seems like its the perfect tap room to go to on Fall / Winter days when its cold out. They have a few games to play or bring your own while you sip on their delicious brews. Note: They don’t serve food so you are welcome to bring in outside grub. IMG_3945 IMG_3948 IMG_3949

This post concludes my East Coast trip. I had an amazing time filled with friends, brews, views and lots of good food. I am hoping to head back in the Spring so please let me know of any great places I should try!
