It had been about two weeks since I completed my first TOUGH MUDDER.
Going into it, I knew that I probably would not do every obstacle and that I would only complete what I felt comfortable with. That being said, it ended up being a fun, difficult at times adventure course that I completed with great friends and acquaintances who became good friends.
Right after we completed the course I felt elated and in desperate need of In-N-Out Burger!!! I was extremely fatigued and a little battered. My knees and legs are still scraped up weeks later! Probably my own fault since I wore shorts. If I were to do it again I would probably wear the exact same thing, mainly because it was comfortable, dried quickly and I didn’t have to worry about what I was wearing it was just there and allowed me to focus on the tasks at hand.
Im the one in the blue tank top below constantly falling down! My favorite and also the most terrible obstacle was the Arctic Enema! For this obstacle you have to plunge into an ice bath, go under a wood beam ( hold onto the beam so that you don’t hit your head on it) and then come out on the other side and get out as fast as you possibly can! I felt like death immediately after I got out of the ice bath, but then a few seconds later my body felt so much better! The ice really helped my knees which were about to unhinge.
This was my wonderful team! We had the most wonderful/rough time together!
