I am still feeling good after the amazing weekend I had with two of my best gal pals. T invited C and I to spend a weekend with her family in Carmel, CA … We had an amazing time and it was so nice to have some r + r with great people in a great place.
We took a lovely walk by Carmel River State Beach or Mortuary Beach as some call it due to the wily rip currents. It is beautiful right? Like.. so amaze I could just set up shop right here and never leave. SO tempting!
Later in the day we drove over to Monterey, CA and went to the aquarium. Now I have a love/hate relationship with Aquariums and Zoos. It is completely rad to be able to see animals and creatures of the deep blue that we may otherwise not have the access to see, but I always get kinda sad because they won’t know anything outside of where they are. Anyways, those feelings aside, I was beside myself with excitement and literally was on sensory overload.. the people, the fishes.. it can be a tad overwhelming!
Below are a couple cool quotes from the Aquarium.
“Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separated from. ” – Terry Tempest Williams
“If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.” – Loren Eiseley
Amazzzzzzing Jellies!

Jelly in Motion.
Baby Jelly Fish.
School o’ fish.
How cool is it that these little guys travel together all day every day. Protecting one another and helping each other out. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
Totally Tubular Turtle.
On Sunday, we took a drive down the ‘World’ famous 17 Mile Drive.
Can you see the Seals, on the rocks in the lower right hand corner?

The California Coast is so beautiful and I am so so blessed to call this state my home!
Thanks T for a great Weekend!
